Sharing time

Wow! Students had some super cool things to share with us today! We got to see a charms bracelet including the Gryffindor crest and lego people featuring Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Voldemort.

When the Marauder’s Map showed up there were audible gasps that rippled around the Great Hall. We also got to see a look-alike Harry Potter!

An intricate lego structure of Hogwarts with the great hall and Harry’s parents up in the tower brought students immediately to the front, curious and excited to see all the hidden details.

Thank you to students who so enthusiastically shared their fantastic Harry Potter items. We love getting to see them!

While hanging out in the Hogwarts Common Room, a Dementor showed up! In no time at all, students combined their efforts for an amazing patronus spell that sent the Dementor far away from Hogwarts Camp.

Harry Potter Jeopardy Game

Some very knowledgeable Hogwarts Camp students flexed their Harry Potter trivia muscles during an intense game of Hogwarts Jeopardy.

In the end, we got to have a great discussion about being gracious winners and losers. We talked about how hard it is to lose and how fun it is to win. Deciding together that it feels better to do something kind to make winning sweeter and losing less painful. Everyone did their best to be gracious, going around the room high fiving and telling each other they did a good job. We followed it up with a 10 second dance party to get all the positive mo-jo flowing again.

Quidditch

Quidditch teams gave it all on the Quidditch Pitch battling to the end for the Quaffle. Those bludgers were coming from all angles attempting to keep Chasers from scoring but they always kept their eyes on the goal. The snitch works hard to avoid our seekers but they never give up until they catch that crazy snitch! We have some dedicated Quidditch players! We hope they’ll be back again for next season!

End of Term Feast

While everyone was out at the Quidditch match house elves were getting the feast ready in the Great Hall. A cheese ball and crackers were waiting for us when we returned. We were served turkey, potato, and carrot stew and bread.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a feast without BUTTER BEER!

Desserts of caldron cakes, pumpkin pasties, chocolate wands, and chocolate caramel frogs made eyes go wide when they were delivered by Heads of Houses.

House Cup Winners

GRYFFINDOR

Our House Cup winners this year! They worked hard and strategized a come-from-behind-victory, for the win, on the last day.

Our Gryffindors were an enthusiastic. courageous, and energetic house. They loved to get involved and were jumping out of their seats to be part of everything. They listened up and worked hard.

During potions class they had a super awesome member of their house who always made sure everyone got a turn to participate.

RAVENCLAW

This house was highly intelligent and quietly flew under the radar, showing up everyday, participating, and working well together. They were great at getting along and keeping things positive.

HUFFLEPUFF

Hufflepuff kept every activity light, happy, and fun. They smiled all week and brought positive energy to everyone around them. Their friendly attitude and upbeat energy helped others feel welcome.

SLYTHERIN

These Hogwarts students made the best of every situation they found themselves in, whether good or challenging. Banding together, encouraging and complimenting one another, even when it was out of their comfort zone, they helped each other and built one another up.

Kindness Card of the Day

Hogwarts Camp was officially over today, which meant there wouldn’t be points for this kindness card. We all talked about how kindness isn’t about getting points for doing items on a card. It’s about who we are and who we are becoming.

We decided the hardest act of kindness on this card would be: stay calm instead of getting mad.

Even though this one might be especially difficult, we believe in our Hogwarts Camp students! We know they can make this particular act of kindness happen today and then get better and better at it every day.

Great first year!

Thank you to all of our Hogwarts Camp students and parents! We are so grateful you signed up for Hogwarts Camp. You made our first year incredibly memorable. We loved learning about animals, science, astronomy, kindness, and most of all…how to become our best selves.
